Windows Update does not work

Simple:

1. Click "start", "cmd",
2. Right click "Run as administrator"
3. Type "net stop wuauserv"
4. Type "ren %windir%\softwaredistribution sd.old"
5. Type "net start wuauserv"
6. Reboot
7. Now you can use windows update again

What this post does not mention is that you cannot use USB drive to do the backup, you always have to keep your finger cross this tool can burn the image... why in the world can't you create a simple iso image...
